Humans always WANT something and then more or something else

Humans always want something. It is part of human nature for us to have desires and want things. There is more to these desires that we have. This thing is that once we get whatever we want, we either want more of it or want something else. Our personal desires continue to spin throughout our daily lives. I feel like these desires keep our lives going. The desires are good because they make us happy when we get what we want. I feel like these desires can hurt people though. When it comes to relationships is where these desires hurt people. These desires are the reason that people cheat on their partners. People feel like "oh I have had that, I want something new." These desires are breaking up happy homes everyday in this country of ours. The only explanation for these desires that we get is that it is part of human nature and there is nothing we can do to not get these desires, they are part of what makes us up. I have desires like everybody else and when I want something I get it. My biggest personal desire is to get money and when I get money I want more money, I'm addicted to money. chhhck eyyyyyyyyyyyy

Response to Laura

Laura raised the question on her blog asking if you would like to live forever? I feel like there are pros and cons to living forever. There are definitely more pros than cons to living forever. One bad thing about living forever is that after a certain amount of time, I feel like it would be boring because you have done so much at that point. Another bad thing about living forever would be that you would continue to get older and older and your body would not be able to function after so much time because it would have so much wear and tear. A good thing about living forever is that you get to live FOREVER, you never die! I feel like it would be nice to know that you will be living forever because sometimes you just sit down and think about when you will die and how you will die and that is a very depressing thought. Another good thing about living forever is that you can do whatever you want and experience anything you want without dying. You could have a great experience doing anything you want and knowing that you won't die from it. I personally would like to live forever. The main reason for this is because I love life and would absolutely love to live forever. I do not think I would ever get bored living my life and doing the things I do. Life is so good! I would love to live forever!

Only the Strong Survive

In class this week, the topic came up in our discussion that only the strong survive. This does not only apply to humans but it applies to all species of organisms. I agree with this saying that only the strong survive. Organisms that are strong can survive longer than organisms that are not as strong as them. An example of this is the food chain, a bear is is at the top because it is one of the biggest and strongest organisms. For humans, I do not think it is only about physical strength to survive but more of being strong financially. Being rich will help you survive a lot more than just having physical strength in the world that we live in today. So I agree with the saying that only the strong survive but the strength attribute differs with the species.

In Response to Austin

Austin raised a question in one of his blogs about if humans will ever go back to the simpler ways of life or if they will continue the never ending cycle of technology and other incredible ideas. I think that humans will continue to use technology as it continues to improve. The reason for this is because this technology keeps improving and makes our lives better and better. It makes doing things easier and gives us more entertainment. The improvements of technology are something that humans love and I can guarantee they will continue to live their lives using the most newest technology. Humans will not ever go back to living the simpler ways of life because it is too much work and we know the way of life we live right now with all this technology and love it way to much to go back to the simpler ways of life without the technology.

In Response to Sarah

I agree with Sarah that people can try all they want to tell us what makes us happy but they are wrong. We decide what makes us happy and that is what really makes us happy. Some people fall into the pressure that they should be happy by the things that people tell them should make them happy but those people are fake. Sarah raises the question about paying more for quality clothing. I feel like a lot of people feel the need to go get the most expensive clothing because they feel it will make them happy and other people will look at them better than if they had a cheap brand of clothing on. I think this is a bunch of bullshit. Clothing is clothing. The point of clothing is to cover our bodies to keep us warm and stop us from exposing things in public that should not be exposed. When it comes down to it, no matter how expensive the clothing is, the clothes do the same job. That's just how I feel about this topic. I would like to hear what others think about this?

Different Occupations

We had a talk in class about people making more money than they should in certain jobs. An example that came up was major league baseball players. Some people were saying that they should not get the millions of dollars that they do just to play baseball. People were arguing that major league baseball players do not do anything for the people. They said that people with jobs that do things for people like fire fighters, policemen, and teachers should get all the money that major league baseball players do because people with these jobs do more for people than major league baseball players. I see the side that these people were coming from but it was a terrible argument. The reason for this is because they do not understand that even though these ball players are getting paid millions of dollars, they are generating billions of dollars from ticket sales to merchandise sales. It is also a bad argument to say that major league baseball players do not do anything for people. They are part of the biggest entertainment group which is professional sports. People are willing to pay hundreds of dollars for tickets to go and watch these ball players do what they do.
Teachers, policemen, and firemen do completely different things. I agree with these people in class that the people with these occupations do more for people in a sense that they safe lives and educate young Americans growing up. However, they can not possibly be paid the amount of dollars that major league baseball players are because they do not generate the money like the ball players do. The ball players generate the money that they are paid, it is a lot different for the people with these occupations.
In conclusion, I feel like the argument was bad because both sides should agree that each occupation does a certain things for people whether it is entertain or save lives. It is clearly more important for lives to be saved than to have entertainment but the different way they are paid can not be controlled because it is the way it is.

Dreams becoming reality

In response to Jennifer’s post about dreams coming true. She asked if we think that dreams can become reality or if it is coincidental. I feel that some dreams really do become reality due to the fact that we have dreams based off of thoughts that we have. The thoughts that we have are about things that are going on in reality and things that could go on in the future. I feel that this is the best way to describe dreams becoming reality. I had a dream the Red Sox will win the world series this year and it starts right now! Happy Easter everybody!!!
