The world would be better if no one lied
I was reading through some of the blogs of my colleagues and Misty Elliots' question of "would the world be better if nobody lied?" really caught my eye. I got to thinking about this question and I have come to conclusion that the world would be better if no one ever lied. There would be some things that would go bad but overall the world would be better with no lying in it. Sometimes the truth is very tough to handle and some may feel that they would rather be lied to than know the cold truth. Misty had some good examples of this in her blog such as kids being upset knowing that they were the reason for their parents divorce or that they were a mistake. This could cause some suicides like she said but there are so many benefits the world would have if there was no lying. There would not be as many affairs going on because couples would not hide it from one another. There would be no trouble for courts and jurys to decide who is guilty and who is not guilty. Being a baseball player, I really like the thought of no lying in the world because Major League Baseball is currently in such a mess with steroid allegations and the fans have guesses but do not know who is really using steroids and who is not. I think that would be interesting to find out. Everyone would know what was happening in the world and people would not have to worry about not knowing what really happend. I feel like if there was no lying in the world that the world would be a better place overall and knowing the truth would be easier and less confusing!
